yep fair point....could be just collateral damage for retail responding to fear changing conditions. There is only one way to manage that which is to invest within your means, take a medium term perspective based on the fundamentals i.e take out the short term fluctuations governing decision making and trust to whatever your investment plan is anything else just has an element of gambling to it which is also ok provided the risks are recognised.
