Not sure why you thought costs would be less?
Im sure there have been savings but a whole heap of extra gear laying around to get a sample is expensive.
Sidetracks are expensive, trying to sample on the drill string is expensive.
Whats even more expensive is when they find nothing….
For what ever reason Ivz has not been able to find a white knight and the placement getters have crucified the sp time and time again, just as they are atm.
