I agree with your example...... But retail also had a big chance to sell at the same time as the Sophs...... I am sure that many did.
But I am talking about the consequences........ Retail not supporting the RI means the SP will not go immediately up....... Which it would have if the RI had been fully supported...... And now the Sophs will get an even better deal.
A bit like..... Cutting off one's nose to spite your face.
