    From what I’ve read this is what has happened in South Africa where the govt fixed the price of electricity so low that there wasn’t enough money to maintain the coal fired generators or replace them at end of life. Now they are all failing and the responsible entity can’t borrow any money because they can’t raise prices as it’s too politically sensitive.

    Also read US6 per mmbtu in Sourh Africa with $10 incoming.
