You are absolutely right. The inhaled programme is the true bonanza. It is worth ten times smoking cessation. Smoking cessation is the quick route to market and a platform to test the hypotheses around the inhaled programme. Both sections have produced results beyond expectations. You are right about cystic fibrosis. Another point about CF is that it opens new and different avenues for partnering. CF is a largely regional disease, prevalent in Northern Europe. This opens competing avenues for partnering.
