Yep .. will do! I have a few questions to ask and better face to face, but certainly will let you know how everything goes. Read all the reports about Quantum computers being 5 to 10 years away ... but you know what... none of them mention a room temperature chip that could be integrated with current technology currently in development!
Granted Archer have not completed and tested yet, but if they are successful and as they have suggested they have worked out how to scale and precisely place the Qubits, ( hardest part is done!) then I'd be bringing that 10 years down alot closer to 3 to 6 years. Programming will be different to current programming for the chip and hence the reason to search for partners. All in all, what Archer is doing is ground breaking and never been done before.
There is alot of activity in the Quantum space and billions being poured in... and I for one am genuinely pleasantly surprised how we switched from a mineral explorer to a company attempting a worlds first room temperature Quantum chip in a relatively short space of time. I take my hat off to Mohammad, Martin and the AXE team for driving us down this road. If they are successful and I have every confidence in these guys that they will achieve what they set out to do then there is a lot more money in licencing this to manufactures and supplying the advanced materials to them then we could ever get out of just digging the graphite up and selling!
There is always a risk and they are slowly chipping away at reducing the risk to the technology, so you wouldn't invest more than your prepared to lose. But seems the word has reached the big players in the Quantum field and they are watching as they should.
Happy to report on how everything goes when the time comes and looking forward to hearing from others as there will be presentations before Sydney. News could come at anytime about partners etc or even the other two verticals in Bio and Energy....
I'm coming from Brisbane so not as far as Perth Superwealthy, but I'll fill you in. I want to go as I haven't met these guys face to face yet and love to do the tour of the facility in the Nano Science Hub.
