@SugeKnight. This issue has been discussed in depth on various threads of INR over the past 9 months. It is not new to any of those here long-term.
You are obviously unaware of the whole situation and Mr Donnelly's tactics in particular.
In this instance he has managed to persuade Al-Jazeera to do a favourable story on his one-man crusade. It makes interesting journalism but is far from constructive.
The fact is that Ioneer is the only entity that has any positive plan to save this endangered plant species. No other body is investing in the welfare of Thiem's buckwheat. Mr Donnelly has no plan.
Reality is that Thiem's buckwheat is the least of Ioneer's problems in getting this environmentally important mining venture up and running. There are many other potential Lithium mines around the world vying for a piece of the action and it is this competition that is posing the biggest immediate threat to the success of the venture. ie it is all about finance and future profitability.
