So everyone remembers / forgot 1890 when promoters pegged of mining blocks, floated mining companies at Nenthorn on the assay of ½ ounce to 50 ounces per Ton from specimens. In over 10 years the place was deserted. Records did show 1571 Ton yielded 3593 ounces (15.6gm / ton) at Nenthorn.
The reefs were narrow but with the CSIRO's Ore Sorting System and Oceana's Macreaes processing plant just up the road, this could be the start of a WINNER. But please no more Macreas type open cut mines.
