NdFeB magnets, also known as neodymium magnets, have many uses, including:

    • Information technology: Used in hard disk drives, mobile phones, and video and audio systems

    • Motors: Used in high performance motors, brushless DC motors, electric bicycle motors, elevator traction machine motors, refrigerator air conditioner motors, and wind-driven motors

    • Magnetic separation: Used in magnetic separators to remove contaminating ferrous and paramagnetic items from production or processing lines

    • MRI scanners: Large neodymium magnets are used in many "open" MRI machines in hospitals

    • Audio equipment: Used in microphones, acoustic pick-ups, headphones, and loudspeakers

    • Microwave communication technology: Used in radar technology, satellite communications, remote control telemetry, electronic tracking, and electronic countermeasures

    • Door catches: Used as a silent and effective way to keep doors closed without traditional latches

    • Mobile phone receivers: Used in mobile phone receivers to improve efficiency

NdFeB magnets are the strongest magnets available and are made from neodymium, iron, and boron. They are the most commonly used rare earth magnet.
