I have been saying for several years that Makuutu is a dead duck. Who on Earth is going to buy it, with all the problems that it has? Even the Chinese ran away as fast as they could after looking at it. They did not even bother to play their usual game by taking a 20% stake so that they could disrupt the BOD and GOU as they have done with GGG and PEK ! IMO Makuutu will be on IXR's books until Tim realizes that even in Mothballs there are still going to be expenses IXR can ill afford ~ license costs, requisite expenditure, security, compo for Landowners already displaced etc.
VMM at least has a probable mine. So as Roblun suggests, they may indeed be able to provide feedstock. But if Trump carries out on his threat of 100% tariffs it will make it very hard for any Western country to import product from Brazil
Still no word about how Tim managed to make those exchange losses though, perhaps it was from when IXR purchased those VMM shares you no longer have? No big loss though looking at VMM's SP today is it?
