When you have to retreat to Semantics to defend your position you are definitely on shaky ground.
The announcement referred to the European Union, not the Continent, unless you have missed it the United Kingdom recently withdrew from being a member of that Union. But of course you are aware of that because it was the UK that gave them that latest Grant ~ not the EU
