I really can't understand why this has taken them so long.
It seemed like a no brainer that Kelaher and Vernados needed to be moved on as soon as they informed the market that they considered the APRA proceedings were misconceived and they would fight them.
It was going to be practically impossible to win support for the ANZ deal, amongst other things, whilst they were in a pitched battle with APRA.
