I agree TraderTan and I also think with AMP getting an offer from a US private equity firm this week may assist IFL in getting some sort of expected value realised. We all know IFL is undervalued but what we don’t know is how undervalued it is and once we know the full offer for AMP, we may be able to quantify a reasonable market cap for IFL. I am looking forward to seeing the deal for AMP and how they have valued their wealth division i.e. multiple of NPAT etc so we may be able to use a similar formula for IFL. The nearest purchase we have to consider is KKR and CFS and it will be good to compare differences in the AMP offer and the CFS purchase from KKR.
