No stock of mine is beloved - that’s the point. Its just a stock. Some of you guys seem to get far too emotionally attached. But yes, JRV has short positions for the simple reason that it has considerable institutions on the register who hedge their position by lending out shares. Pretty normal for a large company to have between 1-2% held short. I also hold WHC who just produced $1.4B in cash in a single quarter, and guess what - that has 1.0 to 1.5% held short too! Retail-held stocks like IOU don’t have any ‘borrow’ available because retailers generally can’t lend out shares. It’s all very logical when you stop and think about it. Which just goes to show how daft comments like “oh, you must be shorting this” really are…
