The accumulator is not going to do line wipes unless it at the end of their accumulation, as this would push the sp up. They will buy in parcels regularly at their set wanted price point once enough retail have taken their bait, but not in big enough purchases to move it up a point.
These games are played by very knowledgeable and deep pocketed investors and their strategy can go either way, some will be looking for a few pips and others taking a longer position based on fundamentals.
