KWG drilled 48-49k metres over the concession, 28k of those at El Pilar on 25m centres.. Of course no one trusts the Canadians to add up so Brian will need to redrill, hence the 7000m figure.. Why 7k, well because it's a division of 28 by a factor of 4 and hence I'd assume for every 1 new hole drilled 4 old holes will be re-validated for the purpose of resource definition.

And where as the later results in 1997 were talking about Pilar, those in 1996 were concentrating more on Gaspar, again on 25m centres to a depth of 150m over an area of 100 x 450m.. and with 1.46gt being the lowest figure returned you could extrapolate out and say 100 x 450 x 50 = 2.25m cubic metres x 2.5sg = 5.625Mt ore x 1.46gt / 1000 = 8212.5kg Au or roughly 286'000 Oz Au.. Of course this accounts for no dilution and/or mining cutoff.. But from surface to 50m it aint gonna be to hard to mine and being oxide in nature the gold should fall out without too much effort.

Now if it was only Gaspar they were referring to, then underneath it is another copper leached zone like at El Pilar.

Regardless the Canadians ran trenches for 1300m between 0-1.5m and averaged 3.92 gt!! and some of that was definitely at Gaspar as shown.



As I said, I'm not prepared to accept Canadian early 90's accounting practices without a grain of salt so find the 4mOz Au at El Pilar quote by the ex KWG CEO, then in charge of CAN as being somewhat optimistic.


The copper however, well that's becoming a different story.. Where else do you find an Aus jnr with an $18m MC sitting on this lot below? Anyone? ?
