Proceeds from the Placement will be used to advance and scale IperionX’s patented titanium technologies and progress permitting and feasibility studies at the Titan Critical Mineral Project.All of which Taso has forecast in the recent webinars, including 'quiet confidence' that permitting could happen faster than expected, possibly before EOY.
Crux: You're pretty confident about getting these permits.
Taso: Quietly optimistic. I've got very strong relationships and my team has very strong relationships with the people on the ground. Anything can happen, but we're very well, we respect the community a lot and we have for the past two years. We've built very strong relationships and friendships with some of the landowners, the key landowners, key officials and we see that generally we're wanted out there because we've been doing things right.
PFS Trajectory: Is dependent on metallurgical test work. Testwork is the lynchpin. We will complete that this year. We are assembling the report now, hopefully this quarter.
How do we remove the risk of permitting? We have really focused on permitting. A lot of projects in the US today are held up on permits. So we wanted to take that risk away so that we can do the PFS/FS rapidly because permitting is in place. In the US most companies do PFS/FS first, then permitting. We have spent a lot of our capital and time on really nailing that down. We have spent a lot of time with the community on that.
QUE: Is the key threshold to stay within State level permitting and not get into Federal?
Yes. If you interact with any waterways, lakes, wetlands, things like that, you get into a very detailed, very long-term process. Where we are, we don't impact any wetlands or streams. We're lucky that we stay away from the Federal side. But you still don't want to take it lightly. We did all the hydrological surveys, we did all the cultural surveys, we did all our natural species surveys, we took over two years doing that from when we first took over the Titan project.
Then it was really all around the permit applications, making sure we had good interaction with the State Govt. around exactly what they wanted from us. Then we had a lot of interaction with the community. So we feel we've got good support there and now we're at the point where we are actively permitting the project.
Over the next few months we're going to know a lot more around our permitting. We are ready to push the button on PFS when we are permitted.
The US govt is very forward on these supply chains and have thrown a lot of money around legislation which will benefit us, which will hopefully benefit us. That very positive on two fronts. One, on helping us secure future large contracts. Two, on securing govt financing in the continued development and scale-up of our company.
That includes not just the Titan metals recycling part of the company, but they realize you want the minerals coming out of the ground as well. We are re-shoring a critical mineral raw material supply chain in the US.
Evermore Fireside Chat:We've been guiding the market that permitting will be done by EOY. We are quietly confident we can get it done a lot sooner than that.
In the months ahead, we are very close with a few large customers we've been working with for the last 12 months. We have mitigated the tech scale-up risks. It is a straightforward low cost, off-the-shelf, modular process. In the next 12 months it will happen.
Guidance is coming shortly on scale-up of the demo facility - Capex, Opex, Production quantities. That's coming very soon. And proving our ability to scale. We've already done this with customers. We are going to put all the skepticism to bed in the next 12 months.
