AJ, I think you're assuming NFC have walked away, it's more likely the other way round. From previous IBG statements, ''still working through engineering with NFC'' means they still haven't produced satisfactory designs etc that IBG would ever want to build.
A bit of buying and positive momentum this morning, and this afternoon aggressive selling to hammer the share price back down again... the same thing happened last week, it does make you wonder. But the Chinese are renowned for their integrity in business, so if they're not involved in any conspiracy, what is it then?
Post-CR selling; some SI's thought, wrongly, they'd make a quick 50% profit after the CR. Now they don't mind selling at a 10% loss and moving on to something else, they were never interested in IBG, or mining or Zn production, so they don't care about news of site works.
Fortunately for long term holders, IBG is pushing ahead regardless of the noise.
