Incorrect. He had already stated that based on his fundamental value views, so rightly or wrongly, that is still called investing, i.e. Educated guess.
No one will ever know if any stock will go north or south (unless you are doing some insider trading) and even warren Buffett, the investing guru, does not know as well since he has gotten some wrong. If you equate that to gambling then everyone is gambling in the sharemarket. Heck I could say you are gambling with your life too when you choose to walk out of the house as you wouldn't know which idiot may run you over with their car on any given day.
