@LongNWrong, It would depend upon whether the police that pulled the car over had sufficient, hard evidence that the car was speeding or whether the police were just "spitballing" because a person from down the road sent a text that said he had a question whether a car with the licence plate, "ISX" was speeding.
If the policeman stopped said car with licence plate "ISX", impounded his car with no recourse but to take the police to court, I think any argument would work.
