It has shown reduction in viral load for prevention. So, the term "work" maybe subjective for prevention. It might be slightly reducing viral load or greatly reducing it, or, enitrely preventing it. Not sure yet, but good the experts say to proceed.
Also, I wouldnt take other antivirals with similar mechanism to translate for ILA but, thats just my beliefs.
Overall, the case for ILA is very very strong with its current MC. This is without even considering Galidesivir.
