Howdy WC - without hunting the comment down my recollection is that in the earlier days of the relationship LC stated that YF in essence wanted to ensure the IP was not sold off earlier and never ended up being commercialized . i.e one of the reasons he went with IMU was the assurance they had the intention of retaining the control in order (assuming trials were successful) to best ensure the product would somehow be taken to market - do not believe that excluded via partnership but certainly to avoid a good product did not end up in a cupboard !
