I have thought it for a while and share the optimism here that this is a done deal, however think the suggestion of ‘today’ could have simply been used to highlight once again the fact that it could be any tick of the clock.
It has been this way for some time and while it may not have been required, their wording is likely designed to make everyone feel a bit more at ease about it having not occurred in Q4 19. Am sure people were waking up all the way to New Year’s Eve thinking today must be the day.
Even though it did not eventuate, the language in the announcement keeps shareholders confident things are still on track and imminent.
I will be pleasantly surprised if your prediction materialises and it drops tomorrow.
