On face value, IXR have got the best of this deal, at least Belfast might get some MREC to process in the future.
But retaining the IP for Uganda made me laugh, does anybody still seriously think that Makuuta is going to need a refinery ?
IMO, Clever move on Tim's part, if/when the majority owners eventually decide that Uganda is a liability, they can consolidate the two companies, write off Makuuta and transfer the amortised tax losses into VMM. They will still hold the main asset (Belfast), while Retail holders will take the hit !
The only question left unanswered is will they attempt to do a CR ? US10M at 1c is a Billion shares, and Makuuta will need US100M !!!
