This is significant news because it:
- demonstrates yet again, the financial commitment and support of the UK Govt agencies
- provides much needed funding for IXR (albeit not huge)
- this funding is for specific program
- it has formally established the "supply chain" of recycled material thru to magnets to be made available to Ford etc.
- importantly, it is funding supplied to IXR and the program, made available BEFORE the formal commercial Feasibility Study has been completed.
- the benefits of FS should enable further funding and commitments once it is completed ie Offtakes, funding sources etc.
This result is yet again, independent evidence that the IXR Recycling project is REAL, and it works.
We have all these different independent UK Govt agencies, these independent tertiary bodies (universities etc), all these independent businesses ( VAC, LCM, Ford etc) all providing their name and expertise to IXR and its planned business.
So it is not "hype" - it is the real deal IMHO.
