Defintely notable progress with Jade Gas’s latest round of drilling, Vista-1, intersecting 38 metres of gas bearing coals. Importantly Vista-1 is nearly 25km to the east of the very successful Red Lake program. These positive results of nearly 40m of gassy coals comes after the Red Lake program has delivered excellent gas composition and high gas content from four holes resulting in the country’s largest coal bed methane booking of Contingent Resources.

Also interestingly Baruun Naran some 20 km to west is known to be an extension of the Tavantolgoi coal basin and the company is targeting to test these seams in the coming months. Finding gassy coals there would result in this coal bed methane project stretching across some 40 – 50 km and taking into account the impressive gas content from Red Lake and the size of the coal seams include Red Lake 4 with over 125m of gas bearing coals this project has the potential to be a game changer.
