Looking at the substation located at the nearby plant it definately looks like two voltages which I'm assuming would be 230/138kV

The 138kV line running into Tucumã sub, located -6.754529, -51.124607. This is a very small yard but it does look to have at least 2x 138kV connections to it based off line running into the yard from the east and west sides.

You can see in the screenshot (Google maps from 2019) the yard is very old and an upgrade to a 230kV connection would basically mean a completely new yard.

It just seems very sketchy connected into this yard when the better option connecting into the ferronickel plant sub. Obviously there might be a reason behind that but it seems like a massive undertaking connecting to the Tucumã sub where they will likely have to upgrade part of the yard to accomodate the connection.

That's above and beyond my pay grade .....
When Mgt say there is supply nearby (30klm) I take that at face value given the fact they have been there onsite, especially give Vale have a large supply even closer. I do however look at power supply (overhead wires) when 'I'm considering Multi Unit Developments, looking for or ensuring High Voltage Supply nearby... extra power costs extra $$$
Top Shelf research tho... you must have an electrical background ???
