information regarding the Jambreiro Project, which were treated with due technical depth in the Study
Environmental Impact – EIA, presented for analysis by the environmental agency in the environmental licensing process.
This RIMA, prepared in a summarized and didactic way, presents the main characteristics of the proposed project, the

PROJECT PURPOSE AND RELEVANCE
3
The main objective of the Jambreiro Project is the production of
iron ore concentrate. The studies carried out
so far they predict the production of up to 3 million
tons of iron ore annually,
predicting the useful life of the iron ore deposit
for approximately 18 years.
Relevant Aspect of the Quantification Project
Ore volume of the deposit 77 million tons
Investment BRL 350 million
CFEM* R$ 8.16 million/year (60% for São
John the Evangelist)
Estimated useful life 18 years
Jobs during the
implantation
1,170 jobs on average, 1,500
at the peak of construction
workstation during the
operation
400 jobs
The implementation of the Jambreiro Project will contribute to reduce the vacancy rates of the municipalities of São João Evangelista and Guanhães, to heat up the economy of the region due to the generation of direct jobs and indirect associated with the provision of services, mainly in commerce, in addition to demanding Providers.
The Jambreiro Project will have the infrastructure existing road in the region, due to the presence of industrial-scale planting of eucalyptus. Also, because it is located in an area of eucalyptus monoculture, will imply in lesser amount of vegetation clearing Natural.
Project Jambreiro comprises an iron mine, three waste/waste disposal piles, one water accumulation dam, a power plant wet processing, in addition to facilities for support for the operation of the enterprise.

STERILE / WASTE DISPOSAL
The sterile coming from the mining fronts and the tailings to be dewatered at the processing plant will be disposed of in the form of piles, in three (3) deposits, called North, East and South.
The area and final volume (at the end of the useful life of the development) of each of the sterile/tailing piles are presented in the table below:
Stack (PDE) Area (ha) Volume (Mm³)
North 26.34 9.87
East 51.11 24.15
South 22.91 9.16
Total 100.36 43.18
WATER DAM
After review and technological update of the Project Jambreiro, the tailings dam was excluded from its layout with an area of 198ha.
In this new redesign, the project will have only with a water dam (reservoir), significantly smaller, with an area of 15 hectares, with storage capacity of 481,000m³.
The massif of this structure will feature systems of internal/external drainage, spillway, and for protection of the slopes, a transition is planned consisting of blocks of rock (rockfill) and gravel.
