We are at a crisis actually....depending on history to make predictions does not have a good track record.

My way of thinking gives greater weight to a black swan event, white swan event,or unknown unknown of the good kind.

Many conceivable unknown unknowns
a huge takeover offer (just the offer) -
a brutal wake up event inside FDA to shock them into helping their population by helping us reach approval -
a spectacular partnership for heart or back pain -
a surge in demand for our patent library.
a political intervention.
