Forecast is more rain for next few days.
But the rain/flooding is seen as a blessing than a curse because WA really does need all that water. People over there seem glad for it.
News media reporting doesn’t have that desperate urgency as seen when covering flooding to VIC, Lismore or Bne-GoldCoast.
The large mines are managing the weather event well.
Probably it’s also an opportune bad weather event for ARL leadership to experience so that they know how severe it can be and will implement risk management strategies to manage potential flash flooding to its mines. Might be underestimated, otherwise.
Don’t want to be caught off guard like 29M’s totally flooded copper mine pit in northern QLD. Still not completely dewatered after more than a year.
