It refers to automatic and/or algorithmic trading that is triggered when particular parameters are met - be them indicators lining up or just "every half hour, buy $170 worth". I've attached todays trades as shown on my CS account:



Todays particular bot seems set to purchase ~$170 worth at "something-9" seconds every time! For what reasons or benefits....I don't know. Generally I read they don't pay brokerage either somehow.

Just interesting to see BCN get nibbled all day by one. Perhaps seeing 21 trades in BCN today might tempt other buys to come in without look at the volume closely? *shrugs*.
