I'm preparing for another financial crisis so I have sold out all of my stock EXCEPT for STX.
I did the same in 2008 (except STX wasn't around then so I just sold the lot). Put everything in cash and was over there on Broadway watching the ticker-tape for the Dow, S&P and Nasdaq crashing big time.
100% of my portfolio is now in STX. How's that for a 'leap of faith'? Like Tui, I've been in this for a long time and I'm thinking about my kids and grand kids too because man this is taking a long time. BUT you don't jump ship when you can see a game changer on the horizon steaming towards you. Each of my 8 grand kids have been left the same number of STX shares. They might not know it but that inheritance will have been based on a share that was once a miserable, maligned and insignificant 6.7 cent stock. Hey guys, this isn't supposed to be the ramblings of the great guru who predicted the 2008 GFC. It's really simply a true story and proposes a viewpoint that may or may not come to pass. Like Death and Taxes the inheritance will come to pass because I'm not changing my will anytime soon.
