    8 July 2016 Announcement

JCT to begin IoT Project for Disability

Xped Limited (ASX: XPE) (“Xped” or “the Company”) wishes to advise its
subsidiary company JCT Healthcare Pty Ltd (“JCT”) has begun working on a smart hub technology project for delivery to Disability SA.

JCT is a solution provider to the disability and healthcare industries. They have been responsible for the message system in the new Royal Adelaide Hospital and have recently won a contract with Disability SA.

Under the project, JCT will develop a smart hub technology, enabling people with a disability to control functions in their home from a tablet or phone, from turning on the coffee machine to contacting their case manager.

If the ADRC and devices are ready / going to be ready.... hopefully via Telink/Intel ...this should not be too long? Just a thought .

Budget 2016 provides for some benefits to the disabled? I can't recall the exact details but I remember reading some good benefits for them or is it for the old people? Can anyone help with this?

Xped will assist JCT by incorporating its ADRC technology into the product development used in the project and the Company has provided $350,000 working capital to JCT to begin expansion of its existing NurseCall business and assist project development.

This $350K funds, IMO is for JCT's normal operations not for the smart hub technology which I think Disability SA may provide funds for.

Disability SA provides funding to approved, mainly non-government organisations that provide services to people with disability.

    Disability SA coordinates:

JCT’s operations will be moving to the new Tonsley advanced manufacturing
precinct in South Australia, while the company’s R&D, software and hardware
development teams have already moved into BioSA’s Thebarton Incubator.

Mr Eddie Jackson, Chief Executive Officer at JCT commented “BioSA have been
a supporter of JCT over the past 3 years through $230,000 funding to develop a
web-based messaging system, which is now basis for all our current
technologies. We look forward to starting this new project in the Incubator
residency and working with the Xped development team to incorporate their technologies and product mix”

    The Thebarton Technology Precinct

Mr Hall explained that the strong reputation of the Precinct is seeing impressive results. “We’re now seeing an internationalisation of the Precinct that is providing a return on investment for those companies located here, and also for the South Australian Government.

Examples of this esteemed reputation come in the form of CPR Pharma Services who, on a daily basis, are providing analytical services to large US-based pharmaceutical companies in their FDA-accredited laboratories. Other great South Australian companies based here include The Pipette Company, that manufactures micromanipulation pipettes which are used worldwide by the IVF industry; GeneWorks, that supplies synthetic DNA to the Australian and international research and development (R&D) sectors; and Bionomics, an ASX-listed drug company dedicated to making better treatments for cancer, anxiety, depression and Alzheimer’s disease.

These success stories are the result of three crucial elements that ignite enterprise through co-location within the cluster. “The factors that play into the success of the Precinct are tacit knowledge transfer, advantages in support and human resources, and the supply chain component where companies can service others that are close by, therefore generating revenue,” said Mr Hall.

JCT is tenant at BioSA’s Thebarton Incubator.

And not forgetting, JCT has reported earnings prior to the acquisition.
