Someone like Umicore/Sumitomo should just clean up this mess. Buy some reasonable assets and get in the bed with US Govt in a big way. I don't actually believe we have bad assets. In fullness of time they can provide a 10-15% ROI - Our high flying management just didn't know what "Risk management" and "Capital Discipline" mean.
