Benchmark Minerals Email: "The dispute between China's CMOC and the DRC government over royalties to DRC's state-owned producer Gécamines has been resolved after 10 months. During this time CMOC continued mining cobalt and copper at the Tenke Fengurme mine in the DRC, building up a stockpile of at least 16,000 tonnes of cobalt hydroxide.

With the dispute resolved, this material can now enter the global market potentially putting downward pressure on already low cobalt prices. If prices continue to fall, this could push high-cost producers out of the market."
