Maya, just because everyone else is doing it does not make it right.
It is unethical because the payment was an emergency funding from taxpayers to support businesses that were facing one-off revenue falls of > 30%.
If it turns out that businesses did not experience revenue falls of > 30%, they are absolutely morally and ethically bound to pay it back.
Particularly those businesses that don't pay a full rate of tax in the first place.
Otherwise it is effectively just more corporate welfare to those that don't need it and stealing hard earned taxpayers money from those that truly do need it.
PLS are flying and no question Ken should do the right thing and pay it back.
Which as a shareholder is the firm message I will be giving him.
