Isn't a major difference between AMA and JLG that vehicle body repairers are more or less a dime a dozen, but there are not many building and construction companies with the scale or the coverage (in Australia or parts of the USA where JLG now is) for rectification works to quickly commence and be competently undertaken, passing all manner of government or private sector inspections?
Smash repairs for vehicles may well be challenging, but they don't require dealing with such a multiplicity of organisations that JLG has to (local Councils, state Environment Protection quangos, other state government entitties including building sector supervisory and licensing authorities, water, sewerage, gas, electricity and telephone providers, road authorities, rail access providers and operators...the list goes on).
Another factor is once a car has been in an accident, it may not further 'deteriorate', provided the tow-truck driver knows his stuff. But with a building that's flooded, further rain may cause additional damage.
Similarly, owners' corporation management that JLG increasingly undertakes is a field in Australia that continues to be consolidated, from the limited amount of information outsiders can see.
