"Did Steve say partnerships with US or European companies???"
In one of his many interviews he said re car manufacturers they are focused on the EU because of ESG drivers, and then mentioned VM and Daimler as primary examples.
Presumably the export would be the link before as in the battery manufacturers. Checks on the VM common chassis base/skateboard intended to be used for multiple different car models (called MEP) didn't appear to have fixed battery manufacturer loyalty.. So who knows.
