I like the technology being focused on the healthcare industry and there will be some success stories. The scanning technology has been a huge advance and saved a lot of costs and improved the quality of surgery. Having said that the 'fit bit' market technolgy is in a different field and possibly focuses on a narrow age group. Anyone over 50 or who has reason to closely monitor their blood pressure will know that there are certain prerequisites before obtaining a blood pressure; resting calmly for 10 minutes, a certain sitting position, correct position of arm band, no talking etc. I have never been asked to take a reading under pressure but i'm sure athletes may have needed this measurement. If technology can identify the location and cause of the high blood pressure then that is great. The equipment providing this information will have to be 5 star quality with an impecable pedigree....no room for mistakes or poor quality. So whatever commercial link up in the medicine world will be scutinised closely. Biosensors and algorythms will be big, no doubt. CDX has come up in my 'watch' list as it has given ONE signal and will await more before it becomes a buy. These hitech stocks are better to be late in, than early; then monitored closely. Some will be winners, many will be losers. So follow the money, not the argument!
