I disagree. In my opinion, the fact that the demand for lithium has fallen was mainly due to the fact that the Chinese were able to sell fewer cars because of the trade war. But now a deal between Xi and Trump seems to be on the horizon and then the demand for electric cars will quickly rise again. Because then the Chinese will buy more cars again. Besides... The car manufacturers are focusing their new production worldwide on e-cars. I hope that Kidman will NOT sell his 50% share to SQM. Because as Kidman shareholders, we wouldn't have much of it. Because the share price would fall sharply if Kidman no longer had the licence for MT Holland. Because SQM would not buy Kidman (completely), but only the shares of MT Holland. The management doesn't even need to sell it to SQM, because if we really have a financial problem, then SQM will give us the credit. Because Kidman always has the joker against SQM, otherwise Kidman could sell his 50% stake in Tianqui or Albemarle. And SQM certainly won't want that. But we don't have to worry about all that, because SQM and Kidman have worked very fairly together so far. No one will drop the other.
