I think it's best to err on the side of caution with wells and all the cowboys probably now work in places like Africa or the like. Even though it is an producing location if it's like any developed country (I'm being lenient here ok) then any uncontrolled product and drill failure is going to mean a bad time for the now and for the future of the contractor involved. Ecological safety I think is paramount in what is already seen as a dirty business.
Have issues and shut it down safely, don't be the contractor that says, I thought it would be okay. Don't be that guy.
