Anyone who followed MEL long enough knows that about two years ago Lismore Council and Councillors actually banned all CSG/Natural gas activities, including seismic on all council owned land and roads. The legality of this was not "consulted" with the Government. Well I don't think so.
IMO the OCSG response gave MEL another ammo to fire in court.
Why couldn't/wouldn't the OCSG and it's Liaison people "consult" Lismore Council/Councillors on how it can work reasonably within the LAW to progress the exploration of State resources? It is a STATE MATTER isn't it?
No doubt MEL's legal team are gearing up with ammunition of facts.
