Nothing to do with shorters in my opinion. Simply the market being forward looking. The FY23 results are excellent. The FY24 commentary is cautious. The problem with BDD’s being so low up until now is that any movement looks steep.
Being completely honest, I was really pleased with the results until I saw the slide showing NIM compression in FY24 (the reasons for which I understand) but the fact it was not to scale and didn’t have estimated % figures was rather un-Healy like in my view.
It is a solid business overall and I’m comfortable holding but probably not looking to add right now (for safety’s sake).
