Also wanted to add - I was reading an article today in Fin review about one of the most successful Fund managers - and there secret to success in their view was the ability to recognise every stock has it's issues. A company with cash might seem safe but in 12 months time have more risk than a company starting with high debt . Take AGO for example who have seen a 100m turn around from net cash to net debt in 12 months - with the commodity expected to stay low or fall further . Static pictures are deceptive , one must search deeper for the reasons of buying , and risks can be priced in rationally . However your post is reasonable and we all need to be harsher about what we accept from mangers who get paid millions
