No friends in business. But I am not so sure shareholders are better off without Investec. They played their part when it was crucial and do not forget that Troy may not have large capital needs now or in the immediate future (Spearpoint + Larken), but will have once Gold Star is developed. Trucking distance to the plant is 8km and Gold Star could be as large as Smarts and Hicks combined, we will see.
In the end it could even make sense to build a new plant, never say never. If Goldstar is large enough (especially in conjunction with the currently Tajiri owned land position) and more is found to the north of Goldstar or at Honey Camp or Whitehall.
