I hope Austral will take their option as the silver price is very weak now. Will change until December though (one way or the other). As long as Troy owns 30% of Casposo, Austral is not able to pay any dividends from Casposo to themselves.
Also I wonder if the long-term exploration potential is feasible for Troy. Carlin mines always were duds until Barrick drilled deeper. Guyana Goldfields will go underground for up to 500-1000m and mineralization is going down 2km at least. There are many similarities and the surface alluvial mining might mask the true potential. To drill so deep you need a justification, Guyana Goldfields were lucky finding Rory's Knoll and then just following the mineralization at depth. No such opportunity at the Karouni site (yet?). Going underground at Smarts won't be very profitable with what they have now but it will have interesting implications on exploration. Much easier to drill deeper when you are starting from 400m. Will be a long time...
