@peejay2 you should definitely seek an accountant. $70 dividends + $30 franking credit is exactly the same as $100 without franking credit. When we calculate yield, tax benefit, we look at the total amount (including franking credit whether it's 0 or 30%). BTW Franking credit is not always 30% depending on the portion of the income coming from. Just look at CSL, they have partial franking credit because they pay large portion of their tax in the US.
