I also rent and share the same opinion, especially when they're are additional fees involved. I just have a recurring payment set up for rent, easy and fee free. I do like the concept though but do think it's a greater battle than it may seem to some to get renters to change from direct debits/bpay etc.
I actually worked in a startup in the uk years ago briefly doing some of the things they are trying to achieve. The utility switching can be highly profitable if done right and there's volume.
