Is the proposed Data Centre on Borba land?
It would have to be a reasonable distance from Borba to truck the hydrogen there.
It looks like Sacramento is around 90min south, if that's where the data centre would be so delivery wouldn't be a problem.
However, a question I'd have is 'has the centre been built yet ?' or, as you say, is it just in the proposal stage ? It's a bit vague.
Either way, from what I've researched in a few min, it looks like data centres historically used 8-ish times more power than your average size Coles/Woolies supermarket (in Australia - figures from 2018) but a lot will have changed in recent years obviously to reduce that with solar etc..
Anyway, they're putting the cart before the horse once again because the first thing that has to be done is putting the system into place to actually convert the gas to hydrogen - spend x-amount on their own facility or pay a 3rd-party ?
It's all (imo) just a bit of further lip-service to shareholders anyway.
