S32 publicly announced interest in Khoemacau, didn't need to do that. If it wins, GK & team's attention turns directly to SFR and the synergies in putting K and Motheo together. Pick up CBE tenements later.
A K transaction allows the calculation of an accurate contemporary valuation of Motheo.
Sumich interests have been sufficiently diluted so they no longer hold a blocking stake.
S32 was an underbidder for Matsa and would dearly love to add those quality Spanish Cu Zn mines to its portfolio.
Matsa, Motheo, Khoemacau and Sierra Gorda JV would give S32 immediate Cu production of 230kt, rising to 325kt in a few years - my back-of-envelope calculation - making it a globally significant Cu producer.
A few 'ifs' in that. If S32 lost out on K, it could still pursue SFR and enjoy the benefits of a K & Motheo merger in a JV.
I hold both S32 and SFR in equal weights.
